We are a coffeehouse & roasting company, based on the great plains in Brookings, South Dakota. Cottonwood has two retail locations that have been in operation over a decade.

We roast our coffee on a classic Probat roaster, which is the most tried and true coffee roaster ever developed. The coffee is roasted in the cast iron roaster drum, only in small batches as orders are placed. We don't roast huge amounts and then let it sit for weeks (or even days). It is at peak freshness the day it arrives at your door.

You can place your order from our "Products" page and we will roast your coffee either that same day or the next. It gets shipped out to you immediately after roasting and we offer free shipping on orders over $20.

Yes! We source top quality green coffee from around the world. Our lead roaster has been practicing the craft for over six years, including training with several industry leaders. He also has the distinction of one of the most prestigious certifications available for quality control, the Q grader Certification. This is considered the Gold Standard in the coffee industry.

Our roasting team, as well as our retail team, are constantly at the cupping table critiquing and improving our process.

Cottonwood Coffee offers a "No Regrets" guarantee on everything we sell. We wouldn't feel good if any customer, ever, felt like the product they got from us wasn't worth their hard-earned money. We will make sure you can buy with complete confidence. It may be a bit corny, but we promise you'll have no regrets when working with us.
